Athletics at Signal Mountain
Middle School are considered an integral part of a students
educational experience. The goals of the program are to help all
students have age-appropriate opportunities to:
Acquire skills and knowledge
of game strategies and rules.
Collaborate and compete with
others.
Provide maximum participation
through inclusivity where possible.
Use and increase their unique
talents and skills.
Develop a positive attitude
towards themselves, others and their school.

Coaches at SMMS work with
individuals and teams to improve performance and promote character,
leadership, and sports citizenship. We take great pride in our program
and want all of our players to experience success and a feeling

Booster Club Board meetings
are held regularly.
Membership
To join the club, annual
dues are $25.00 per family. Contact Kathy Potter to join or volunteer
for activities.
Activities
The club's main activities
are operating the food concessions at all home games for both the
JV and Varsity boys and girls teams as well as the JV and Varsity
boys home basketball games. There are other sporting events that
we also provide refreshments for such as wrestling tournaments,
cross-country and track meets. We also provide sports awards and
host sports banquets at the end of each season.
Projects
Some of our recent major
projects have included: New uniforms for football, cross-country/track,
and volleyball. We have also provided new soccer goals and warm
ups, and refeervished football helmets
Volunteering
We need volunteers to work
in our concession stand.
